| FROM THE SOUTH: Traveling north from L.A. on Highway 101, take the Airport/UCSB exit (Highway 217) off U.S. 101 approximately eight miles north of Santa Barbara to the campus East Gate. Enter the East Gate Roundabout in the right lane, and turn right onto Mesa Road. As the road veers around to the left, there is a traffic light at the entrance of Parking Lot #11, which is a left turn off of Mesa Road. Phelps is a short walk to the west of Parking Lot #11. The Department of Spanish and Portuguese Main office is located on the fourth floor of Phelps Hall in room # 4206.Click here for map (pdf).. |
| FROM THE NORTH:Traveling south on Highway 101, Take the Storke Road/Glen Annie Road exit off U.S. 101 approximately twelve miles north of Santa Barbara. Turn right on Storke Road and proceed two miles to El Colegio Road. Turn left on El Colegio Road and proceed to the campus West Gate entrance. Continue onto campus on El Colegio Road to the traffic light at the intersection of El Colegio Road and Ocean Road. Turn left onto Ocean Road, proceed past Robertson Gym on the left (there is a stoplight for pedestrian crossing there), and on to the stop sign near the bus circle. At this point, Ocean Road makes a 90 degree left turn. Continue to the second traffic light and turn right onto Mesa Road. At the second traffic light, make a right turn into Parking Lot #11.
