Prof. Eduardo Raposo publishes Gramática do Português

Professor Eduardo Raposo is the principal coordinator of the recently published Gramática do Português. This is a momental project that has been ten years in the making. The book has been promoted in Portugal and has been the subject of television and radio broadcasts, as well as newspaper articles.

Professor Raposo explains that the goal of the Gramática do Português is to "describe in as much depth and detail as possible the Portuguese language and grammar, in its European variety." The current work brings together scholarship from over 40 different professores and 12 universities in and outside of Portugal. This new grammar is a definitive statement on the current linguistic knowledge of European Portuguese.
