Professor Ellen McCracken Receives Prize for Article in Narrative

At the 2014 International Conference on Narrative held at MIT in March, Ellen McCracken received the James Phelan Prize for Best Contributions to the journal Narrative for her article in the cluster: "Paratext and Digital Narrative." Professor McCracken’s study analyzes the new kinds of paratexts (extra material inside and outside books such as covers, footnotes, author interviews, and ads) that come into play when books are read on portable e-reading devices.
