Rosana Cunha Ceniceros has a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (State University of Campinas – Brazil) and a Masters in Linguistics (University of Brasilia). She has done research in the area of language teaching, especially writing. For her dissertation research she worked with sophomore students on the production of school newspapers and she analyzed written data generated in that public school under the perspective of Literacy Projects and the Bakhtin's Genre Theory. She has extensive training in the Spanish Language, studying the language in Salamanca, Spain. She has worked as a translator of Spanish and English for the Brazilian Government and also as a Spanish teacher for young children.
