Professor Élide Valarini Oliver has published a book on the Brazilian writer Machado de Assis. "Variações sobre a mesma luz. Machado de Assis repensado" [Variations under the same light. Machado de Assis rethought]. The book was published by the University of São Paulo Press and Nankin Editorial. It consists of a major critical revision and assessment of Machado's works (novels, short stories and poems) as well as the history of Machado's criticism.
