Through the examination of a series of texts by Portuguese, Brazilian and Angolan authors, from the 19th century to the present, Livros que respiram invites us to further our understanding of ecocriticism by examining said writings not as a standpoint particularly suited to examining the environmental imaginary conveyed by literature, but as a particularly useful vocabulary for relating literary imagination to ecological thinking.
