The Graduate Division Dissertation Fellowship is a one-quarter award intended for doctoral students from all academic disciplines who have advanced to candidacy and who are in the final stages of completing their dissertation.
Alexandra López Vera is a graduate student in the Spanish and Portuguese department where she studies Iberian Linguistics. Her dissertation focuses on the second language acquisiton of Spanish direct and indirect object pronouns through a Task-Based Language Teaching Online modules. She has been awarded the Graduate Division Dissertation Fellowship for Winter 2022.
Samanta de Frutos García is a graduate student in the Spanish and Portuguese department where she studies Iberian Linguistics. Her dissertation studies how authentic listening materials such as podcasts can be incorporated in second language teaching to develop listening comprehension and its strategies. She has been awarded the Graduate Division Dissertation Fellowship for Spring 2022.
