Prof. Silvia Bermúdez and the Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese would like to cordially invite you to the Conference "Political Reconfigurations, Cultural Practices, and Artistic Manifestations of First Nations of the (Abya Yala) Americas" to be held in the Loma Pelona Center on Thursday, April 20 to Friday, April 21. A stellar and committed group of artists, leaders, and activists will be presenting, such as Dr. Elisa Loncón Antileo, Professors Enrique Fernando Nava López (Instituto de Investigaciones Antropológicas de la UNAM) and Eduardo Matos Moctezuma (Academia Mexicana de la Lengua). Among the poets we have Mapuche-Huilliche Roxana Miranda Rupailaf, and Natalia Todelo, the first woman to write and publish in Zapotec. And, last but not least, our very own talent Porf. Giovanni Batz.
