Join us for a special evening of poetry on Saturday, May 10, at the Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice, Los Angeles. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and readings will begin promptly at 7:00 PM—all in Spanish. The evening will feature poet, actor, and multidisciplinary artist Viggo Mortensen presenting new and selected works, alongside our very own Omar Pimienta, a Tijuana-born poet and professor in our Department whose writing explores themes of migration and border politics, and Margarita Pintado Burgos, an internationally celebrated Puerto Rican poet. A reception and book signing will follow. We look forward to seeing you there!
