Congratulations to Professor Antonio Cortijo Ocaña on co-publishing Glosa sobre las Trezientas del famoso poeta Juan de Mena along with Julian Weiss.
This major study, which has been in the making for over two decades, is the result of an enormous effort to analyze and map out Spanish Humanism as a whole. The authors include a critical edition of Núñez's commentary (the first literary study ever written on a Spanish literary work) together with over 400 pages of erudite and insightful analysis of major aspects of Núñez's literary, cultural, and political agenda. By establishing the first Spanish literary canon, Núñez engaged in a process of defining culture and literature as one of the key components of the Modern Age.
