We invite you to an upcoming talk hosted by our department, featuring Fukumi Nihira presenting “De Tokio a Jalisco y de ahí al norte: lugar, literatura norteña y escrituras de lo fantástico femenino” on February 23 at 1:00 pm in Phelps 4312.

In this presentation, Professor Nihira will reflect on questions of place, northern Mexican literature, and feminine fantastic writing. The talk will explore literary perspectives that connect geography, identity, and narrative imagination across regions.

The presentation will be conducted in Spanish and is especially relevant for those interested in Northern Mexican women writers.
